Ultimate Defender Goalkeeper Academy is an intense, immersive experience that hones the mind, the body, and the athlete.  In addition to highly specialized goalkeeper skills sessions, the camp format allows for incorporation of exclusive mental skills training sessions, strength and agility sessions designed just for goalies, and a nightly leadership seminar available at no other camp in the country.  Based on the teaching philosophy that "learning is a process and progress is success," UD is designed to maximize learning, develop autonomy and confidence, teach positive self-critique, and guide effective goal attainment.

FAQ

  • Everyone.

    Every session is designed to enhance the abilities of any player at any level. Some sessions separate goalies by ability, while other combine experience level. Our coaches work with the nation’s most elite keepers and are able to adapt drills and exercises to best fit each goalie on every rep. Beginners will get tons of fundamentals and a thorough introduction to advanced skills and concepts. Experienced and elite goalies will be pushed to execute with quality and consistency, and will refine decision making and reading the game.

  • Yes! Campers stay in air-conditioned dorms right on campus.

    But, if you live in the area and would prefer to commute, we can make that happen , too! Reach out to us to register as a commuter!

  • We are not opposed to welcoming goalies who fall just short of the age minimum to camp. We have had campers younger than 12yo several times. That said, camp is intense and a collegiate-level of maturity and decorum is expected of all campers. If your goalie can handle that, then reach out to us to tell us about your goalie and we will go from there! (Expect additional paperwork.)

  • We hire coaches for you based on a per-registration basis. Your registration triggers per-camper expenses and a hiring process with a guaranteed salary. We will not un-hire coaches because of cancellations - their expenses must be covered. If you must cancel your commitment to attending camp, we need time to allow other campers to take your place and cover our costs. To ensure that we are able to secure the very best staff, our refund policy for camp is as follows:

    Camp 2024 registration is fully refundable through April 30th, 2024.

    Between May 1-June 30th, 2024, 50% of your tuition may be refunded.

    As of July 1, 2024, we can only guarantee 20% of your tuition will be refunded.

    While we will consider last minute cancellations on a case-by-case basis, please understand the formula described above. We always strive to be empathetic (shit happens!) but timing and logistics may make it impossible for us to waver from the cancellation policy.
